Description
The five-star hotel Hospes Palau de la Mar is housed in a former palace built at the end of the 19th century and located on one of the most central streets of the city of Valencia, right in the middle of the commercial and financial district. It is a royal house where design, art and a unique style give you many reasons to come and visit an atmosphere where everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail.

The interior of the hotel holds a modern and spectacular patio contrasting with the building’s majestic architecture, an exuberant garden with Mediterranean aromas including saffron and oranges, spaces and elements created to inspire and chef-created cuisine with fresh and local ingredients.

The Hospes Palau de la Mar is a haven of peace and relaxation. Come and enjoy this urban oasis, located in the Eixample Noble district of the city, only 500 metres from the historic centre of the city of Valencia and next to the Turia Gardens, so that you may disconnect by delving into a universe full of harmony where the senses are the central theme.

Hospes Palau de la Mar has conserved aspects of its original 19th century architectural style. An example of this is its fantastic stairway with noble handrails. The smoothness of the forms and textures, the select furniture and cream tones with a lot of black make for an unlikely minimalist sobriety with respect to its personality.

Another outstanding aspect of this establishment is the Senzone Lounge & Cocktail Bar, located next to the cozy interior patio and with room for up to 30 people. Here a suggestive contrast between black and white marks out a zone made for savouring Senzone flavours. The gastronomic offering is based on teas, coffees, soft drinks, liquors, cocktails and a variety of snacks, and of course the always refreshing horchata. All of this is accompanied by music to make your moments even more special.

CLUB GOURMAND

The restaurant of the Hospes Palau de la Mar is the avant-garde and refined Restaurante Senzone. Located on the first floor, its menu offers a cuisine full of Mediterranean and Valencian garden flavours. The most demanding palates will be delighted with elaborate recipes in an incomparable atmosphere. There is the famous rock octopus with citrus, red fideuà, sorra tuna loin with tomaca and black olives, red mullet with all i pebre and cauliflower rice and coca with pear, smoked tea and lime. Another outstanding aspect is its selection of wines with Designations of Origin from the Valencian community. The restaurant has a capacity of 55 and is accessible from an independent entrance on Calle Navarro Reverter.

CLUB WELLNESS

The BODYNA Palau de la Mar is divided into two zones. The treatment zone, full of light and dominated by wood and glass, is located on the first floor with direct views over the hotel’s welcoming garden-patio. The other zone is dedicated to wellness and found on the ground floor of the main building with installations including an indoor pool-Jacuzzi, a Turkish bath, a sauna and a fitness zone with dressing rooms and showers. Here we have a natural urban oasis where the main objective is to enjoy relaxation as an artistic discipline through massages and natural treatments like Ayurveda and Vichy, the sauna and the Turkish bath, etc. The Bodyna Fitness & Spa offers profound revitalisation of the mind and body.

CLUB EVENTS

The hotel also has four UTMOST halls equipped with the most advanced technology for any type of business meeting or any other special event that could be held at the Hospes Palau de la Mar. They can hold up to 300 people (cocktail).

Destination Information: Valencia
ValenciaValencia is one of the most ancient cities on the Mediterranean coast and this year plays host to the America’s Cup.
Valencia offers a wide array of shops, cultural events and attractions, cinemas and theatres, museums, music venues and businesses.

Valencia became a modern city with the opening of the City of Arts and Sciences in 1998. It is Europe’s biggest cultural centre, which is a perfect blend of art, science and nature, and a showcase for the world-renowned, groundbreaking design of the architects Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela.

Valencia
is also one of Europe’s busiest trade fair and congress cities. The Museo de las Artes y de las Ciencias comprises four areas: the Museo de las Ciencias “Príncipe Felipe” which hosts temporary and permanent exhibitions about science and cutting-edge technology. L´Hemisfèric, an eye-shaped construction which has an IMAX cinema, the Palacio de las Artes and L’Oceanogràfic.

The Cathedral
– which is mainly Gothic in style – and its bell tower, the Miguelet (which stands almost 51 metres tall and has over 200 steps), are some of the city’s best- known landmarks. The climb to the top is well worth it as it boasts splendid views of Valencia. La Lonja de la Seda (a 15th-century Gothic building, the city’s former Silk Exchange, and a World Heritage Site), the IVAM (Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno) and the Museo de Bellas Artes San Pío V, are some of the city’s most important buildings.

Valencia is also known throughout the world for its signature dish, the paella, which is a perfect and balanced combination of garden produce, seafood and meat. The streets of Valencia offer a great shopping experience with unique traditional shops selling handcrafted goods as well as fans, crochet work, ceramics from Manises and clothes.
