This exclusive and comfortable five-star hotel, built in 1968 and restored in 2007, is composed of a main two-storey building and another two-storey annex. Located in one of Porches’ main streets and surrounded by an extensive 12-hectare exotic garden with a large variety of flowers and plants (more than 150 different species) from various places around the world, the B & G Vilalara Thalassa Resort has direct access to its private beach, Praia das Gaivotas. The hotel stands out for its architecture of soft lines and colours, which seem inspired by Gaudí.
The hotel offers a wide gastronomic selection with its 3 restaurants, where Portuguese as well as international specialities may be tasted. It also has 5 outdoor pools (two of them with salt water) and a thalassotherapy centre, the first to be built in Portugal and one of the most famous worldwide.
The B& G Vilalara Thalassa Resort offers a different concept of visit. It is an exclusive space where caring for and pampering of oneself is the main objective. Yoga, massage, thalassotherapy and a balanced diet all contribute to the well-being of this establishment’s guests.
