WELLNESS Revival Wellness Club Aguas de Ibiza gets its name from the crystal-clear waters of Ibiza, which is why a space has been created that is dedicated to water and beneficial health and beauty treatments in an area covering more than 1500m2. In Revival, Thalasso-Spa, there is a range of mud treatments from Formentera, Ibiza salt baths, aromatherapy and revitalization therapy using seagrass and almond creams. Today, Ibiza Town is surrounded by walls and jam-packed with narrow streets and alleys and monuments like the Castle or the Cathedral. A stroll around the Dalt Vila enables you to enjoy the impressive beauty of “la Muralla”, the city ramparts, and the spectacular views of the city and the sea. In the historic quarter, which today is like an open-air museum, you can find traces of all the civilizations that have passed through Ibiza, from the Phoenicians to the Carthaginians, taking in the Romans and Muslims. The main entrance to the historic district is the drawbridge, called the Portal de Ses Taules, next to the Old Market, although there are other points of access that are just as beautiful, such as the gateway called the Portal Nou, by the Reina Sofía park. The district of la Marina is one of the most beautiful and most visited places in Ibiza and much of its charm comes from the fact that it is the point of welcome to the island from the sea, as well as being one of the commercial and leisure areas most visited by residents and tourists alike. But it is interesting not just to get to know the town centre, but also to walk around it. Several kilometres to the north-east there is the municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu, with its Roman cemetery and the church perched on the hilltop of Puig de Missa. Further ahead, is Portinatx, a tourist centre of lovely coves and with a taste of the sea. Finally, Sant Antoni de Portmany includes some of the best beaches on the western coast, as well as being one of the liveliest spots on the island. Ibiza has a large variety of restaurants of astounding quality, offering fresh and natural products, such as fish and seafood, or tradicional dishes, like Spanish “marine” rice (arroz marinera) or bullit de peix – fish hotpot, all of which is a real delight to the palate.
