In the heart of the Sport Hotels Resort & SPA is the Sport Wellness Mountain SPA, a unique centre of its kind in Andorra. This is a five-storey, 4,500-square-metre paradise devoted to health, beauty and wellbeing where visitors can discover and enjoy all the benefits of water and nature. The centre offers hotel guests an infinite range of wellness programmes such as spa therapy, jet showers, Vichy showers, body wraps, mud baths, lymphatic drainage, shiatsu, massages with volcanic stones and many more, transporting the guests to a world where pleasure and relaxation reign and the senses are brought fully alive once more.

These rooms provide all the comforts expected of a five-star establishment: queen-size bed, satellite TV, Internet connection and room service, including restaurant and massage services. The bathroom amenities include heated floor, shower cabin, Jacuzzi, heated towel rail and telephone.
All rooms have their own balcony and command superb views.

Buses operated by the Cooperativa Interurbana company depart for different destinations from Plaça Príncep Benlloch in Andorra la Vella. The “La Massana i d'Ordino” parish bus covers several routes between these two towns. The only way to get to Andorra is by road.
The main entry and exit routes to the country are the CG1 road from Spain and the CG2 from France. The latter crosses the breathtaking Envalira pass, the highest in the Pyrenees (2,410 m). The nearest airports are Barcelona and Girona in Spain and Toulouse-Blagnac in France.
The nearest French railway station to Andorra is in L'Hospitalet-près-l'Andorre, two hours’ journey south of Toulouse by train. Buses depart from this town every day to make the two-hour journey to Andorra la Vella. The nearest railway station in Spain is in Puigcerdà, 40 km east of the Andorran border. From here there is a daily bus service to Andorra la Vella, passing through La Seu d'Urgell.

 Lying on the border between Spain and France, Andorra is the ideal destination for those seeking rest and relaxation. The principality combines impressive landscape, splendid Romanesque cultural heritage, interesting routes and walks, excellent shopping in Andorra la Vella and a host of mountain sports and activities to make this a can’t-miss destination.
Amongst the most interesting sites in Andorra are the Romanesque churches of Sant Joan de Caselles (Canillo), Sant Romà de les Bons (Encamp), Sant Martí de la Cortinada (Ordino) and Sant Climent de Pal (la Massana), and the castle of Sant Vicenç d'Enclar and the bridge of La Margineda, amongst other Romanesque jewels that no visitor to the country should miss.
Andorra is renowned for its magnificent landscapes, its peace and quiet and its many routes for excursions, such as the paths running through Ordino parish in the northwest and the GR 11 long-distance path that crosses the Pyrenees from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic, passing through the southern part of Andorra.
Moreover, the principality is also the most accessible Pyrenean destination for skiing and snowboarding. Andorra la Vella is the capital of the principality and lies at an altitude of 1,000 m. The city is famed for its barri antic (old town), with its short, narrow, cobbled streets lined by lovely stone-built houses typical of Pyrenean villages.
The most emblematic building in the country is the Casa de la Vall (“Valley House”), seat of the Consell de les Valls (Andorran parliament) since 1702. The building has three storeys. On the ground floor is the Justice Chamber, the only court in the country, whilst on the top floor is the Council Chamber, where the Andorran parliament meets. Many cultural events take place in Plaça del Poble, a large public square flanked by the city theatre and music conservatory, and where the locals tend to gather in the evening. |
